The GT S is a better-equipped version of the Mercedes-AMG GT — adding a tuned engine, the AMG Ride Control adaptive suspension system, an AMG Performance Exhaust system, and, most importantly, an electronically-controlled limited-slip differential. It launched alongside the GT in 2015 and was assembled at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen, Germany.
Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, rated at 515 horsepower and 494 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed double-clutch automatic transmission.
